Working With Difficult Emotions

I've had a lot of students reach out this past week and over the weekend because the emotion they're feeling from what's going on in the world is affecting how they're showing up in their relationships with their partners, family, children, and co-workers.

Fear, stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep are a hurtful combination - especially when it comes to our interactions. When you're spiraling you feel threatened and you can't access reason, logic, a sense of safety and security. You make up stories in your mind that create more discomfort and there's a tight feeling in your chest at all times. You focus on the worst possible scenario and can make yourself sick.

When we're spiraling we blame, lash out, shut down, isolate, get passive aggressive - we start arguing because our partners or family members don't think the way we do or see situations in the same way. We get angry because we all don't respond to chaos in the same way and it can be irritating.

Because of the need I'm seeing, I'm offering a workshop on working with difficult emotion.

The workshop will teach you how to

  • work through difficult emotion
  • release difficult emotion
  • handle difficult emotion in the moment (within an interaction)
